It has been heard that Insta Phone is coming back into operation as soon as it's deal with the Russian operator is through and the Government of Pakistan has got its share from the deal. It was also learnt that there might be a possiblity of a exemption or waiver of the license fee but that I actually find hard to believe. The Government would give all sorts of waivers but not the license fee, that is too much to ask.
Anyway, right when it seemed that the telco industry was going for a saturation, another one comes right back in. Lets see how the market reacts to it. Insta is getting it foriegn investment from a Russian operator Alpha Group. Now we can expect an influx of Russians (read: Russian babes :p ) in Pakistan. Now thats something to look forward to.
