Wateen Launches Online Gaming Service

A good news for all the online gaming fans. Wateen has finally come up with a meaningful service for everyone. Yes, for everyone means everyone i.e. it is not restricted to Wateen customers only. Anyone with a decent Internet connection can subscribe to Wateen's Online Gaming service and enjoy the top of the line games in a multi-player mode.

Wateen has established itself as an innovator in the industry and this service is no less. Although people maybe surprised by the subscription model but let me tell you, if you want quality, then it ain't free.

I do not expect it to grow rapidly but there are a few pointers which Wateen must keep in mind in order to have this service run successfully.

1. They must spread the positive word by actually promoting the service as a value add and not just another run of the mill gaming service
2. They must organize online tournaments across the nation in order to bring out the best of the best player.
3. They must grow the service by introducing newer features like file sharing and games patches downloads through their service

People, this is a huge step in the right direction and for those who think that Wateen is only there to leech people of their money, they must give it a shot. Believe me, its worth it.

You can find more information about Wateen's service on http://games.wateen.com and as far as I know, this service is available on all sales channels across Pakistan.

The only downside I see of the service for now it the price tag, i.e. PKR 900 for three months. Its good and bad. Good because it directly competes with local gaming cafes which charge an exuberant amount for gaming and bad because gamers might not take it seriously for now.

Give it sometime, I am sure that it will succeed. At least someone had the balls to come up with the right service for the masses unlike the rest of ISPs who are running multiple game servers on a single machine, killing the whole online gaming experience.

Good luck to the gaming team for their future endeavors and I sincerely hope that they succeed.
